Hi, I have a I have a 9.5kW battery and an AC coupled GE Inverter which has been installed and working fine for just 3 weeks.

All of a sudden yesterday the app showed the battery dropping from 50 to 0.0% although the battery itself still shows 2 of the 4 power LED's lit, so I assume it does still have power in it.

GE support suggested restarting the battery by pressing and holding the power switch however it is totally unresponsive. I've been told it could be 3 weeks before they are able to send an engineer out. Has anyone else seen similar problems and if so is there an easy fix?

Many thanks, James.

When I had a problem, GE told me to turn the battery off and on again,
I pressed the button but nothing happened. I called the helpline and a GE engineer talked me through a manual process of removing the front of the battery and doing something (sorry can't remember and dont want to say the wrong thing). It all then reset and installed new firmware. All works fine now, including the on/off button

Just a thought! Have you tried resetting the inverter to defaults, and clicking the submit button in the portal. That would also reboot the inverter which might refire up the battery. From what you say, it also sounds like your battery needs a full calibration too.
Hope you get it sorted!

The BMS can occasionally crash/lock up. I suspect that support talked @SteveCook through severing all Power to the BMS (as it is always on given it is fed from the battery cells directly) which forces it to reboot from scratch.

hoggy I think that is what they might have done .I was asked to pull a connector off the pcb board and put it back on again (after all breakers, isolators, switches etc were open circuit "off",
It all started, and i seem to remember a calibration taking place
