I would like to upgrade my 9.5Kwh system to an AIO to allow higher discharge current to the property. My question is can i add my existing 9.5Kwh battery to a new AIO to give higher storage capacity?

Bruceabz they're different voltages so it's not possible. It should* be possible to connect more than one AIO in future however.

*feature coming soon, among other features that have been coming soon for a number of years!

I have a feeling " Speak to the Geek " did a tutorial on his YouTube channel.

some good work there from Speak to the geek, but a bit too complicated for my simple brain!

Bruceabz the short of it is that the AC3 and the AIO don’t sit well together. One inverter sees load and starts discharging to meet it, the other inverter sees excess generation and starts charging the battery up.
It doesn’t happen all the time but the cross charging happens frequently enough that you need a solution such as the home assistant script to spot and stop it happening.
Long term the EMS box will do this for you …. but outlooks on that is 🤷‍♂️
