I have a 14 panel, GivEnergy inverter and 9.5 kwh battery, all installed beautifully yesterday!
Are there any specific configuration parameters I should/could be setting on the inverter to fully and efficiently optimise my system? I have already checked Eco Mode and set the battery charging from 00:00 - 07:00 (cheap night rate)
I'm with EON on their EV tariff BTW

Worth you applying for an export MPAN and export tariff. I don’t think Eon’s is all that good, but once you have the export meter number you can move to another supplier if you want to. Might as well get the income from your excess solar in the summer.
As we get into summer and you get more solar generation you will want to think about adjusting your overnight charge period. Especially when you are not (yet) getting paid for export.
You want to charge the battery to a level sufficient to see you through the morning, and ideally then charge the rest of the battery on solar energy.
You might want to look at Solcast solar forecasting (solcast.au) to give you an idea of how much predicted solar there will be the next day.
Plenty of 3rd party solutions to then automate this charging regime

geoffreycoan EON are pretty bad (anecdotally) in applying for export MPANs unless they installed the PV/battery. I'd move supplier first, then do that - in fact I did 🙂

Midlands_Solar I am on the same Eon EV tariff as you. I also have the SEG agreement with Eon and had no real issues getting an export SEG/MPAN setup with them.
My solar and battery setup is similar too but I have two 5.2kWh batteries (the installer did not want to put the 9.5 in the loft)
In the winter I charge the battery to 100% during the cheap hours overnight so it runs the house during the high tariff hours. That is the only parameter I have changed from the standard settings.
It won't be long before I go to the summer regime and stop charging the battery at night and just leave it to the solar panels to charge the battery during the day and then run the house overnight on the battery.
Otherwise, I just leave it in eco mode all the time.
