Could anyone help me on this issue please. My Giv Energy inverter is off line according to my dashboard. Can anyone help with any suggestions at all as how to rectify this issue ?

RJD What model of hardware do you have?
I think it's the dongle that actually communicates with the cloud - on some models that is external, and so, I guess, it should be possible to reset it ? (Others can probably advise whether this is a good idea.)
However, on the gen-3 hybrid I have, for example, it seems to be hidden behind a panel.

if you go to the inverter screen in the dashboard in the top right corner of the first screen shown (General tab) there is a button you can select that is a circle with a vertical dash in the 12 o'clock position this attempts to restart the inverter.

killythebid but if it's offline, that remote-control can't work, can it?
(But I suppose if it closed the server end of the link, that might trigger the dongle to reconnect?)

DD It depends on what is wrong causing it to be offline. I have successfully used this feature to restart the inverter. If it is just the WiFi connection the inverter will still be providing power but it won't be able to report anything.

How long has it been down? Sometimes it will just lose internet connection for a short while and will come back on it's own. Does your inverter box have a dongle? (An oblong thing sticking out underneath it). If it does, is it flashing or a solid blue light (if it's in sunlight you may need to put your hands around it to see the light)? Flashing means it's lost internet connection. All your panels and system will still be working and it is still supplying your house and filling your battery - you just can't see it and you can't change any settings. It's happened to me several times and always comes back on its own. If there is no blue light at all then that means it's a different problem. Try doing a search and you will see other suggestions for what to do and how to improve your internet connection if that is the problem. If it is the dongle , when it comes back o line you will see the points on your energy graph are joined by a straight line between when the inverter went off line ad when it came back onboard
