I have just had an inverter & battery system installed and (apparently) commissioned. ie it is working and controllable via the App on my phone, or via PC & the Cloud. However, when supplied by my installer with a link to the 12-year warranty (applies to all installs after September 2023) I find caveats about "must be properly installed and commissioned etc". How do I know that GivEnergy accept that this is the case ? This may seem paranoid but the time to check is now, not nce a problem has shown up.
Has anyone had (unfortunately) the need to claim on their warranty ? How did that go ?
Thanks
Nick

NickT your installer will take photos of the install that they have to submit to givenergy as proof that its been installed properly

One important part you will also need to pay GE to carry out a remote health check in year 5, 8, and 10 of the system’s lifespan to validate your 12 years warranty.

The cost will be £29 + VAT charge for a full system diagnosis under the 12-year new warranty term, If we need to send out an engineer due to data anomalies, this will cost up to £100 + VAT per visit.
