Does anyone know if the dual tariff rate billing issue EON had back in late 2023 has been resolved?
I’m a bit alarmed that my despite my solar system going in and being commissioned on Wednesday of last week (27th) and me taking great car not to pull anything from the grid during the day, my billed amount has remained largely the same
I gather this is a technical error, and the app is billing me 24/7 at the higher tariff rate and not taking into consideration the 9.5p rate between 00:00 and 07:00.
I have emailed EON support and awaiting a response, i’ll post their reply on this thread once have it

Midlands_Solar it may just be a bug in the app, and that doesn't necessarily tell you what you will actually be billed.
Are you able to access your hourly usage data? As long as they have that stored correctly, you can always get the billing resolved eventually.

Midlands_Solar hmm... in that situation, I'd definitely want to make sure EON have the correct ToU data. If there's a technical problem with their collecting the data, it will be hard to get it fixed later. If they have the correct data, but are just producing incorrect bills, that can be fixed later.
I get related issues with Octopus: they rely on half-hourly smartmeter readings, and if even one reading is missing in a day, the bill the whole day on standard tariff. (It's in their T&C, so complaints don't tend to get very far.)

Midlands_Solar It's hard to say anything definitive from those numbers, without time-of-use or solar generation information. But prior to install, you were on roughly £14 per day, and yesterday was £4.47, which is consistent with unit price falling by about a third.
Your post this morning showed that you'd used 20kWh by around 7am. If yesterday was typical (and it's slightly below the 7-day average - perhaps it was sunny ?), the inference is that you'll be importing another 10kWh during the day, at peak rate ?
In another thread, you said you consume "typically between 37 & 52kwh per day". Your battery can provide 9kWh of those (IIRC), so there's between 7 and 23 to make up from solar and import.

if eon are anything like Octopus they won’t accept third party data readings, they rely on what they get from the meter and the DCC network
If you install the Bright app and create an account you can view what the DCC network has downloaded from your smart meter.

My power usage from yesterday below, yesterday was a very sunny day and the whole house was powered by solar / battery until the latter part of the afternoon, heating kicked in hence the spike in the latter part of the afternoon hence the grid import spike

geoffreycoan Its a lot easier to use n3rgy frankly. MPAN number & IHD MAC address and that's it.
One download (up to 90 days) in a zip file, two columns in csv file - one timestamp, one energy usage/export. They'll even have a go at diagnosing what's wrong with the meter if it can't be read remotely - that's how I worked out Octopus had screwed up security certificates.
No apps, no accounts, nice and simple.

That's 10pm, so quite late in the evening, rather than late afternoon. Is that space heating? Seems quite late in the day to be heating the house. Can that be deferred a couple of hours until the cheap rate at midnight ?
You mention in the other thread that immersion heater is 6kW. The only place I can see a 6kW device running on that chart is at 10pm. Is the timer for your immersion set wrong? (You probably want to heat the water as late as you can during the cheap period, so that it loses less heat by the time you want to use it.)
I recall I popped the heating on for 30mins or so last night from 10:00, as the house was quite cold.
There is no fine scheduling control with the type of Economy 7 heater we have it's set to BST, and the timings behind that cannot be adjusted. I'm talking to an electrician to replace the timer along side the immersion heaters for more efficient units

2.5 hours of battery charge is 6.5kWh;
300W baseload is 2.1kWh;
That's 8.6 units of electricity you can account for.
Where did the other 17 go between midnight and 7am? You said it was normally 25kWh by the morning yes?
They didn't go on water heating - your tank would be full of boiling water were that the case.
