Battery % difference when discharging with two batteries

I have a 5kw gen 2 inverter and one 9.5Kw battery which I have just added a second battery and both batteries are running 3015 software and inverter on D0.913-A0.913. The system/batteries have been calibrated. However when fully charged the both say 100% charge but as they discharge the % charge between the batteries widens. On the main battery page of the app and cloud state a %, but going to the individual battery data I see the levels are not the same. Currently battery 1 says 33%(52.4v) and battery 2 is 46%(52.6v). Is this normal or should I recalibrate the batteries?

As long as your system is working as expected I would not worry about it.

The percentage SOC sounds like a simple thing but with lithium batteries, it is quite hard to know with accuracy what the SOC is at a given time other than empty or full. I would take the percentage as guidance rather than accurate in the first place.

Voltage is another way of estimating/guesstimating what the SOC is. 52.3v and 52,6v suggest they could both be nearer over 50% than not. What does the overall/inverter status say rather than the individual batteries with my two batteries this is almost always different from an average of the two.

If the voltages are close then there is no issue from what I understand.

Many thanks for your replies. This morning the SOC values are much closer and yes the voltage seems to stay within 0.5v.

I think from other posts on here, if the gap widens then you do have a problem because once one battery stops discharging then the other one will as well, regardless of whether it has any charge in it or not.

The only way to fix this is to get the batteries recalibrated but that’s something you have to ask givenergy to do, its not a user accessible feature.

But as long as the socs are close and its working fine, its OK

I had SOC problems on 3015, the problems seemed to get worse so I asked to revert to 3012 which previously worked OK.
The help desk can revert you to 3012 but must do this via 3068 for some reason.
