Hello I am finding the ev charger somewhat temperamental. I have a volvo EX30 and I have tried schedule on the givenergy charger, but the car starts charging the second it's plugged in. Now I have a schedule set on the car and the charger, but the car draws 90w while waiting to charge.

What is the bast way to set this up, I am trying to charge in the 0200-0500 window.

JWsol I've been having a few issues with this and there are a few other threads on the topic.

First - check that "Plug and Go" is set to off. GivEnergy support told me today that "Plug and Go" basically means it will draw from Grid and/or battery whatever the other settings are. If Plug and Go is off, it should wait for the scheduled charge to start.

You can set up a scheduled charge in the settings section on thr portal.

It has worked for me when on Grid Mode and with a scheduled charge set up for the times needed (mine is 00:30 to 04:30).

I'm yet to work out how the EV charger will also work with the panels to divert excess solar to the EV. But that is a battle for another day I think.

michaelhoskins diverting the solar to the car, is shall be say buggy with my volvo and the givenergy system. A cloud comes across and I think the car seems to think there is a power issue and charges at 6A until reset.
