Evening, after a timed export the inverter now idle and says error?! Tried turning off at consumer unit, turned off battteries and restarted it loads but no joy. Also did update no joy. Any ideas

Can you explain what do you mean by 'inverter says error'?

What does it say in the portal notification log for your inverter?

What happens in the app?

ChrisRussell click on the dots, then My Inverter, then on the horizontal menu part way down the page choose notifications.

What's the most recent errors on that?

Everything was working then I manually set time to discharge some
Battery to grid as we were still at 95% 6pm after sunny day. It discharged but then didn’t work after kept getting this error message. Tried resetting and turning off

Can you check all the circuit breakers are on? Might be one for the little meter with the green display? If that’s off, it won’t be able to read the import or export to grid (from the CT clamp around the incoming tails near the electric meter or around the live incoming cable in the main fuse board.

Check the battery breaker (DC) is on too, I think up is usually on.

Does the battery have status lights? If not, press the little black button on the battery to try turning it on.

Also have a look under the inverter, there should be a small data cable that goes off to the battery. It doesn’t clip into the inverter, just pushes in. If it’s come loose, that could be a cause. Try pushing it in a bit.

ChrisRussell did you check for that loose cable under the inverter.

If it's a meter Comms issue it could quite possibly be that, or the little circuit breaker sized meter with the green screen is off.

Or the CT clamp around the incoming live tail has come unclipped.

Is the meter direct connected to the inverter of is it via a pair of LORA units?
