hello, new here and my first post.
had solar for 6yrs, and had batteries fitted in jan, since then the batteries have never charged, set on eco.
I contacted installers to inform them system will not charge batteries, had a phone call, asking to check the censers on cables, are facing the correct direction.
left it for several days, still not working, contacted installers again, they have not contacted me to this day, so I am hopping you lovely people can help.
I have put a link to three pics,
if you look at the solar values, as this rises, so does my consumption and import go's up.
any idea.
many thanks in advance. graham.
ps hope I have explained it ok.

Your installers need a boot up the backside - have you paid in full?
Try contacting GiVenergy support anyway.

Hi. First thing to check is the ct clamp on the incoming supply is the correct way around. There should be an arrow on it which should in the direction of the import current. (99%) sure it’s that way around (there is a “K” on the ct that points to the grid according to the manual)

graham-sealey I don't know if this will help but I had a similar issue after installation and was going to contact my installer but had a look at the portal and noticed something. On the inverter pages there is a tab 'settings' on this tab Eco was selected but the enabled button (slider) was set to disabled. I slid that to the right and it started working. Easy fix if this is your issue. If not I think you have waited long enough, contact GivEnergy, also are your installers listed on the GivEnergy site, if so I suggest you let GivEnergy know how this has gone for you.

anglefire hi, ive checked ct clamp, its going in the direction of flow of elect, to consumer unit, whether its on the correct wire, live or neg I cant tell from looking at cables, would need to take off cover to consumer unit.
the K and L on clip. ( k facing grid, arrow and the L facing the unit.)
regards graham
ps; thankyou for your input.
HI all, I have checked installers on givenergy web site, and have contacted them.

I had a similar problem that was down to a comms issue. From my installer about the thin wire coming from the battery:
The other end also has a small 2 pin green plug that goes “up” in to the inverter and may have dropped out from there. One thing I will mention. If you are looking to remove that cover on the inverter (behind the white GivEnergy Wifi dongle), please be careful. The other black cable coming out of that is for the CT Clamp that is located in the AC Isolator that you photographed and is used for monitoring the Solar PV production. So if you notice that the PV production is not reporting, or does not look correct, then it could be that this cable has been knocked.
I unscrewed the cover and it turned out that one of the green plugs had pulled out. Pushed it back in and all tickedy boo now.

hi all, it turned out to be the ct clip put within 150 mm of consumer unit,( in property,) it should have been put in the out side, in the meter box.( plus the solar only ct clips should have been removed.)
so far so good, i can now see the battery charging.
