iBoost+ and timer

With my SEG hopefully being applied in the next couple of weeks, I’m looking at a way to install an inline timer, so the water is only heated as per the programmed iboost schedule, and so not topping up in the day, instead exporting the surplus energy back into the grid and getting paid for it

Presently I’m heating water in the day, as I may as well given the battery is charged and as mentioned not on a SEG presently, water is presently heated by battery in the night and then charged in the morning.

Has anyone installed an in-line timer that is programmed as per the Iboost timer for early AM heating?

Alternatively I guess I could just remove the CT clamp, but wanted something a little more elegant.

I don’t want to ditch the iboost entirely as likely I’ll still want to top up the hot water periodically from the surplus solar for an hour or so at peak rate in the day

I worked out today that I would have made £138 in SEG since the end of February! EON have said they have everything they need and my application has been in their system since the 28th of Feb, frustrating its taking so long

I do have an iBoost which I have just fitted two Sonoff 20A POW switches - one in the supply to the iBoost and the other wired to bypass the iBoost. During the day I have the iBoost live to consume any excess solar and at time of low cost electric (Agile) I switch on the Bypass switch. I have all this controlled by automations in Home Assistant to ensure both switches can't be open at the same time - as otherwise the iBoost may be damaged. Had this installed for I guess 6 or so weeks and it is working very well.

I bought the Sonoff switches from Banggood for approx £14 each and fitted them in a Din rail enclosure.

I'm also awaiting my export MPAN!
