Battery Options - Operating Range?

I'm able to set my solar battery charge and discharge Power options to 3000W using the software slider.
I've had battery isolator tripping issues so I currently have both options set at 2543W. I'd like to better understand these settings and what limiting these settings means in practice but I haven't found any reference in the GE KB. Is anyone able to enlighten me?

comms I think they're reasonably straightforward - they control the maximum charging and discharging power on the battery. The former applies to both AC charging and solar charging. If the PV output is higher than the max charging power, the excess will be exported (after covering house demand). The discharge limit might mean that the battery is less able to cover peak house demand (if your kettle is 3kW, for example), so it will import the difference from the grid. And if you are charging from AC overnight, a lower power means it will take a little longer. (Using a lower power during charging may be kinder to the battery, especially when it's cold.)

One slight complication is the granularity: while the UI presents them as continuous variables, in practise the inverter stores them as a value between 0 and 50, which will translate to discrete jumps in legal values, corresponding to 1% of the size of your battery in kWh. (So for my 9.5kWh battery, step size is 95W.)

One other detail is that, on some hardware, it can't go all the way down to 0. So even if you set it to 0, it might actually charge or discharge at around 3 steps-worth.
