We lost our internet for approx two days since Thursday last week, it was finally fixed at 11:00 am on Saturday

However since then the reporting cost has been completely wrong, the consumption however is correct

I’ve restarted the inverter but any other ideas?

Midlands_Solar The report is made from the data the inverter uploads to the portal. Rather than than using the meter data, which accumulates on the inverter, I think the report interpolates from the power snapshots. Which means that if there are no uploads, the data Is not available.
There was a thread while back comparing report data with meter data.

And also worth saving that the inverter doesnt ‘cache’ any 5 minute uploads prior to sending to the portal. If the inverter is offline, those 5 minute data snapshots are lost forever

Many thanks but any ideas why the reports costs are so high if the data's missing?

I did a search on there but couldn't see a post around reporting specifically, more related to connectivity issues and exporting data via an API or .CSV

Midlands_Solar Sorry, reading back, you say that consumption is correct, despite not having a connection. Oh... well, maybe it did use the meter data as a fallback ?

I can't remember where the portal gets tariff information from - mine gets it from Octopus since I've given it my Octopus account details. If you've had to manually enter your tariff details, perhaps you made a mistake there? Presumably prices changed on 1st April - perhaps you edited them and made a mistake, such as entering it in pence instead of pounds ? 13.25p/kWh would seem more plausible than £13.25/kWh. Then the internet being down would just be a coincidence.

My weekly report this morning was utter garbage in terms of accuracy with high consumption figures. The App has been playing up too. it seems to stem from the clocks going forward. Not sure why this would have the effect seen.

Looking at it again it looks like my report has shifted the decimal place for the tariff cost £1.65 instead of £0.165 for the export for example and the same for the other incoming tariff costs.

DD No I've imported the EON Drive tariff and simply configured my start date and location.

I suspect it's related to the BST time change as although the issue wasn't immediately apparent it occurred around the 4th when our internet went down.

the kWh usage as mentioned is correct the costs are however wildly out by 3 decimal places. Removing the tariff and re-adding made no difference in the app.

Reading on here others have what appears to be a similar issue

I have a similar issue. the data I receive tells me that my kWh is £25.96 actual cost is 25.88272p kWh. Somebody in the IT department must have seen the issue. How else can we contact Givenergy...

tcuk Have your tried emailing:

support@givenergy.co.uk

I personally haven't yet, wondering if this relates to the below?

Midlands_Solar Very unlikely - the inverter reports only kW and kWh. Any application of pricing and tariff information will be entirely on the portal / apps.

This is a bug and the GivEnergy support team aware aware of it

geoffreycoan Would think that a system that costs so much money would have some kind of internal memory incase of things like this eh lol
