Feeding grid more than storage battery.

Hi all,
My solar panels seem to spend more time exporting to the grid, rather than charging the battery.
Anyone else have this scenario?

Yes we only have a 5.2kWh battery and it is generally charged mid morning at this time of year, so we export more to the grid. For example today we have exported about 22kWh.

Once the battery approaches full, the charging rate can slow down. But if it's only half-full, that might be a problem.
The inverter does have an upper limit on charging rate - 2.6kW for older inverters, 3.6kW for gen-3, and probably higher for AIO. So if solar is a lot higher than that, the inverter will max the battery charging rate and has to send the rest to the grid.

As I sit here now, the battery is at 10%, the panels are generating 2.5kw and most of it is going to the grid.

Might be worth checking your battery charging rate.

Can you quantify that ? How much is going to battery, and how much to grid ?

Have you tried a reset-to-defaults ?
