I’m now charging my battery overnight, and also now running the immersion heater again off the mains early morning at the cheap rate, as I now have a SEG, now I appreciate all systems and house loads are not equal, but does this look like typical optimised usage?

I’m not really looking at any sort of automation, and tweaking a few minor settings here and there, but otherwise my setup is now working well so happy with it

Midlands_Solar There's a little bit of straight-lining at the top of the solar around noon, which might indicate clipping. There were a few tiny pulses where the battery charged, allowing solar to go a little higher. I'm guessing battery was completely full around here ?

I think it's hard to do much about this without some automation, though you could try leaving some space in the battery and enabling priorty=grid first (so that should export in preference to charging the battery, until AC generation is maxed out). But I've not got that to work - could pester support to see if they can make it work.

Looks like you're heating immersion from battery in the afternoon, then refilling battery from solar. That will be incurring round-trip losses over just heating the water with solar directly. But of course you can't rely on solar to do it, and so if you need reliable hot water, might have to do it this way. (I suppose it you allow solar heating, that will get it to temperature, so that when you come to do a fixed-time heating cycle from battery, there's less for it to do.)

Yes the immersion heater was switched back on so my son could have a shower in the afternoon, overall a sunny day on and off, and export was about 14.2 kWh despite the washing machine and dryer being on for a couple of hours
