Very new to HA, but got GivTCP up and running. However the config asks for an IP address for the charger.

In my router device table I'm 99% confident that either the EV charger is not listed, or its the one MAC address with no associated IP address.

Anyone else had this? I have seen the problem listed elsewhere, but never seen a solution.

Try pinging the device from your laptop and the run arp -a to see if the mac address matches.

An easier option would be to download and run 'Advanced IP Scanner' to query all devices on your network.

danerf tried this and it didn't help. I downloaded a couple of free utilities (I'm on a Mac) and the EV charger didn't show up in them

specialistenergy do you have an option to rerun the setting of the eV charger to the WiFi network?
