CAPACITY OF 8.2 KWh BATTERY

We have an 8.2 KWh battery and were advised to get the 3.6 Hybrid inverter.
I am surprised that the battery flat lines at 100% with a reading of 4Kw.
We only have freezer and 2 refrigerators drawing power ant night and this takes a surprising amount of power from the battery. I was hoping that in the event of mains outage we would have a few days or power in the battery to maintain just these items together with a gas boiler pump in winter. Do I need a second battery for peace of mind?

Something not right there at all. Could you link a screenshot of your power graph and we can take a look? Also could you please tell me your settings, any timed charges? All dynamic? etc

I was really surprised how little our freezer pulls - about 130w max - dropping to a couple of watts. I monitored it to see if it was worth "Upgrading" - but it really isn't!
Fridge is another matter and must do some more monitoring. But I doubt its more than a couple of hundred.
Our standing load at night is about 300-400w (Still not really found the cause, though the network infrastructure is about 100w)

anglefire My nighttime draw is about the same but the CCTV pulls 100w. I can see the fridge freezer kicking in when I zoom into the graphs. 150W give or take.

My background usage is a constant 200w. Few things on standby, fridge, sky box, router, networking gear etc.

At the time that our screen shot was taken, I had turned off everything except the fridges and freezer with nothing on timed control. There was minimum use of LED lighting.

It's crazy output 🙂 Maybe you have an option to discharge the battery to the grid during certain times? It then would drain the battery at full speed.... to the grid...

Can you see this 4KW/h as consumed (Load Power) or Grid Export?

Do you have an electric car? or a heat pump? 🙂

anglefire I'm very similar to this, around 400W. I've used Tuya devices around the house to try figure it out:

The 77W must be made up of all the things I've not been able to monitor. I've instructed my wife to start turning off the Mac properly 😆

Note, the boiler/pumps etc uses around 30-50W depending on number of heating circuits on. Lights were not on in this instance (all coming off EPS). The Fridge goes up to about 140W and 240W when the freezer has kicked in too.

Don't know why. Just a clock should be running when "off". If our 20year old freezer can drop to a couple of watts on standby then a microwave can't be any more surely?

Your 'normal' house standby draw should be around 500w. If it is not then there is an issue. Some TV's draw the same current onor off!! but that is usually also a few 100w at worse. 5kw standby draw is a serious issue. So I think that is not the case - if it was your electricity bill should top 3500kwh as a minimum each month.

anabanet if normal is 500w then I’m doing ok. Even if the pc doesn’t go into power save its a difference of about 100w so not the end of the world.

I do have a regular uptick of about 80-100w - I guess it’s the fridge but not 100% sure. I’ve only put a general monitor on it so far and not a logging one.

They are tuya with power monitoring. If you've not setup tuya on home assistant before it's a little fiddly but worth it for the range of excellent priced devices you have access to. Tuya now make a home assistant plugin directly.

jd I've been using Shelly switches/monitors - which are good - but not as cheap as those, especially by the time you have got a box and lead to make them portable - so I've just ordered some tuya ones. Should arrive today 🙂

jd They have arrived - but are Gosund and not Tuya. Must admit, I never looked!
