SOLCast API card not working.

2-3 days ago the SOLCAST card stopped working, and hasn't since.
Has anyone been able to get it back? or did it ever go away for you?

Working for me again. Was out for about 24hrs

I dont think the removal of the solcast HA integration is affecting the solcast card in the givenergy portal, it's probably more due to solcast implementing rate limiting for hobbyist accounts means that the portal can't reliably get the updated forecast

I contacted support at Solacast earlier in the week, this is what they said
"We've recently made changes to the infrastructure to ease it's use, as the explosion of hobbyist signing up, has created an enormous strain of which we're trying to manage.

We recommend randomising when you make the call to minimise the chance that you're making API calls at the same time as other users. I'm not sure if this is possible on the GivEnergy side, and you may need to reach out to them about making this change."

Nick1969 to be honest there are a number of issues with the givenergy solcast card, crucial one being that it makes an api call every time you display the dashboard, so very quickly you hit the solcast API limit.

It should be redesigned to periodically poll and cache the data

It back and working again....

I tend to not refresh the page, just the card I've 'opened', so it usually works all day for me.

geoffreycoan I prefer the legacy dashboard anyway, the standard one is just laggy
