Morning.
I am new to solar so would appreciate any guidance.
Going through the many forms available from my DNO to be completed for a new installation.
Can anyone advise the easiest way to notify if the system is a AIO with this higher rated output than applicable for the G98 form.
Many thanks.
Steve.

Steve E The G98 is a form you submit post-install to notify a system smaller than 3.x kW.
You need G99 for a bigger system, and that needs to be done prior to installation, since you need prior approval.

Many thanks.
I am aware of that. Just after flicking over the online G99 it seems more suited to systems producing MW of power.

Steve E Yes. Nevertheless, AFAIK it's still the process for anything over 3.6kW (or so). I had to go G99 and pre-approval for my 5kW system inverter.

DD I had the same, I had a G100 pre-approval which got held by my DNO before they could install my kit.

GivEnergy have recently launched a smaller version of the AIO that is G98 compliant so doesn’t need the pre-approval for just this reason

Worth highlighting that your installer should be doing this, not you. They should know how to fill the forms in, who to contact, etc
