Legacy API & Dashboard sunset on June 20th

Just spotted on the portal whats new page - the original API is being sunset on 20th June along with the original dashboard. Anyone using the old API will need to port to the new one @hoggy I think you are in this camp.

From whats new "Speaking of the old portal - for those still using our legacy APIs, the old portal will be fully taken down on the 20th June, meaning that they will no longer be accessible. After this date, the existing GivEnergy app will no longer work, meaning that users who haven't downloaded the new version yet (which we're still working on!) will not be able to access their data or control their system."

locked everything on my end for the community exampkes is ported to the new API along with my webpage Live Data thing.

Only stragglers are the custom app and custom dashboard (although im not sure if anyone actually uses it, so impact will most likely be pretty limited to myself I guess!)

Oh and i guess my historic data page will die as the new API has no monthly Chartable JSON replacement calls yet unless @Mickey (GivEnergy) can get that out the door before the old one is killed?

What kind of chartable json information were you looking for? Have you tried the new energy flow APIs which calculates your energy values into 30 minute intervals? Would this information be useful to you?

Mickey (GivEnergy) my bad, didnt see that, will take a look at energy flow calls and see.
(I use the old API chart data calls so if its somewhat similar i'm sure i can make something work even if its a fair amount of manipulation first)
Whats your API rate limit set at? I would be calling it quite a lot while im sorting it out?

Its a very new endpoint so don't worry about it. Feel free to make as many calls to the API as you like. If you're not the one spamming our servers, I'm sure someone eventually will 🙂

hoggy funny you say spinning up servers - a friend of mine does exactly this when he is doing an event and needs more capacity. Has dockers all preprogrammed and can get them online in minutes.
And as it’s pay by the minute it’s very cost effective.
