Setting AIO charge rate to 0W using the app still charges.

Hi all

I've just had my AIO installed. I have up to 3.7kW of solar with an enphase system and Octopus intelligent Go.

My plan is to export as much solar as I can and charge the battery to 100% overnight. I can see in the app the only real control is to adjust the charge rate.

The main issue is if I set to 0W it will still charge at 500W. Not too much of an issue but it should turn off the charge. Additionally, I have to nightly reset to say 6kW for the charge, then reset to 0W in the morning. I'm looking to do this with GivTCP and openHAB but that's another project.

Can an option be added to the firmware to set the charge rate differently depending on 'timed charged' option, returning back to a user set rate outside of that charging time?

Yes.

There's already a mechanism you can use - it's just not available through the app. Instead, you have to use the remote-control section on the portal.
It's a pause timer, and you can set a window and a mode. So if you set it to pause-charge for the daylight hours, it will prevent solar charging during the day. (And it should achieve a better result than setting charge power to 0.)

Thanks for the info. I've set it to pause charge between 10:00-18:00. I'll see what happens tomorrow.

I've tested over the last few days and it's working just how I wanted.

Thanks.
