There is an agile import tariff and there is an agile export tariff. For most people the 15p fixed export rate (which can be paired with the agile import) will be better value than the agile export as the agile export rate rarely gets above 15p.

There are several options for automating your battery charging and discharging. Search in the forum for other people’s experience. Although there is the option to use tariff automation in the GivEnergy portal for the agile rate, experience from other people have said that it’s not very good.
Better results can be had by using Wonderwatt, MyEnergy Optimiser or Predbat within Home Assistant - again search the forum for these.

Short answer though is that you will need to configure the battery as to when to charge and discharge, it doesn’t do it automatically. You can do it manually each day based on the agile rates or you can use any of the above to automate it for you
