Updating Inverter WiFi Connection

I've recently had a new Givenergy inverter installed with WiFi and I've just now changed my WiFi to use another SSID and password. I've gone into the WiFi Dongle Setup in the GivEnergy app and tried to go through the steps to set the WiFi details.

It auto selects the WiFi Dongle serial number and asks me for the network name and password. When I click next it goes through the process but fails at stage 1 "Connecting to Dongle". I get a notification saying "Unable to join the network "WHxxx" (xxx being the dongle number). I've noticed that this WiFi network is password protected. Could this be causing the process to fail?
The inverter and WiFi Dongle was installed by the installer.

I have the same issue with my AIO. The guide on the Giv website isn't clear despite it being touted as simple.
Try " 12345678 " as the password, that works for me.
Following the guide online I deleted my WJ23***** wireless network and attempted to log in to 10.10.100.254 only to hit a brick wall with the password. Good luck...

Thanks, that worked! I had an issue where I would lose connection to the GivEnergy wireless network constantly for some reason but I managed to get enough time to update the WiFi connection setting.

I had no end of problems with trying to get the WiFi to work and gave up and hard wired it in the end. The WiFi module in the All-in-one gateway and battery seems to be very unreliable, having issues connecting and losing connections, it could do with being replaced with a more modern bit of kit.

My AIO has been offline for a couple of days now. I foolishly perhaps chose " set up dongle " in the Givenergy app and thats when it all went amiss. I emailed Givenergy help desk but haven't had a response. I've tried following the Giv YouTube guide but can't access 10.10.100.254 I just get a server is not responding timeout. ( I've tried several browsers including the recommended Chrome.
I downloaded the installers guide and see that there's a WiFi reset switch under the cover at the side of the AIO so I could reset the WiFi and then try again. I see from the documentation that the LAN connection is under the same cover, with the configuration DIP switches for WiFi / LAN. My AIO is in an outbuilding so it is not really practical to run a cable from the router, I have a spare router that I could set up in the outbuilding and try using it as a repeater, another option might be to try a couple of Powerline adaptors but I'm not sure if that would work?
Anyway time for a coffee and a ponder...

Tenkaykev Powerline adapters will work, we used to use them to present an ethernet connection to our Humax box that doesn’t have wifi. My experience though is that they are not as reliable as you’d like. They are very succeptable to electronic noise on the ring main such as from cheap USB chargers/sockets and they don’t work at all well through multiple fuse boxes.
I ended up going for a mesh network that has been much better

Thanks for the promp reply. I have a spare " Fritzbox " which is a decent bit of kit so I'm thinking of installing that in the outhouse and trying that as a wireless repeater from my main Fibre router, then if there's a decent signal I could run a network cable into the AIO.
Next step is to open the cover on the side of the AIO and press the reset WiFi button...

I did take off the cover wich is just four screws and pressed the WiFi reset button for about 30 seconds before releasing it. I thought I had reset the WiFi ok but then realised that I had connected to the Gateway with the Pwd " 12345678 " Trying the same with the AIO just returns " unable to join network "
I used to be reasonably proficient with tech, I had a ZX81 back in the day, and and even did a couple of tech / computing modules with the O.U. where I had to navigate my way around the JANET network a few decades ago.
Time to step away from it for a few hours. Still no response from the Givenergy " help desk " after a couple of days, not even an acknowledgement which is poor. I'll give them a ring tomorrow 🤞

After yet more WiFi frustration I found instructions online for using my Fritzbox as a wireless extender. I set it up ( eventually, there were a few hiccups) and moved it to the outhouse where the AIO lives. WiFi signal was good so I took the cover of the comms panel on the side of the AIO and ran a cat6 cable the couple of feet between the AIO and router. Network scan gave me the ip address which I plugged in and all is well. Just need to tidy things up and put the access cover back on.
