Is it right they are closing this site down on the 1 August, will this be the end of our discussions?

Maz where did you see that? do you mean the Legacy dashboard on the web portal? AFAIK there is a new beta community board which may replace this one at some point, but I don't think they'll get rid completely

It seems to have been around for quite a while - at least a year? I've never been clear whether it's beta-testing a new version of the forum software, or a forum for discussing beta revisions of givenergy software. Or both, I suppose.

DD that's a good point, I know they took the discussion around the beta software over there but I understood the new forum had more features than this, but this is GE so who knows!

Cdent It does seem to be based on discourse, so probably more feature-full - perhaps allows bookmarking interesting posts, which would be good.

i got a message window stating that this site will no longer be supported as from 1st August

I have not seen a message like that on the forum but I have about the legacy dashboard that is closing on 1st August. Are we getting confused with that message?
