Solcast

Hi.
Have you been able to link Solcast to the cloud portal?
I joined in Feb 2014 and it worked for about 4 weeks and then disappeared.
I raised it as feedback in March and no update as yet.

I think with a free solacst account you only get a max number of calls/polls per day.
I think evertyime you refresh the GivEnergy portal that takes a call/poll away
I think try putting in the solcast API into GivEnergy early one morning and see if it works.
I think solcast shows how many polls have been taken at any one time

Cudlow Steve is correct, you only get a limit of 10 API calls a day with a free Solcast hobbyist account. Every time you refresh the givenergy portal it makes another API call, and if you have two sites (arrays or roof panel orientations) in Solcast, it makes two API calls.

You’re almost better to see the forecast in the solcast website. Or just home assistant to retrieve it when you can control the poll frequency

Cudlow Honestly its not worth it, every load of the dashboard page will use up an api call you will run out so quick.
