I set the battery options discharge rate to 0 watts when I am charging the EV overnight to prevent the house battery draining. However the dashboard still indicates that the house battery is delivering 532W. Not a big problem but why is it doing it?
The EV charger is a Zappi 2 which does not talk to GivEnergy, hence the workaround to prevent house battery drain.
Whooper using timed pause is more effective at reducing discharge power - on the app, that would be timed-discharge mode. Just seems to be a constraint (bug?) in recent firmware that 0W doesn't mean 0W - either charge or discharge.
Or you could configure a timed charge with a very low target SoC, though I found that on firmware 309 it seems to impose a minimum of 20% even if you set target below that. Other firmwares may behave differently.
Turning off eco mode is another option, but there's no built-in timer, so you'd need an external agent to turn that on and off.
