On my consumption/ generation charts it shows activity an hour ahead of what it should be. How do I correct this?

Benjaminjohn85 When you check the raw data, does that have the correct timestamps. We want to first determine whether it's being recorded incorrectly, or plotted incorrectly.

Possibilities include the inverter having the wrong time-setting, or your browser (or pc ?) having an unusual time zone set.

Check the web portal, account settings page.

There's a timezone thing in there which should be set to GMT not BST. Assuming you're in UK.

It should always be in GMT. GivEnergy will update the time twice a year.

Once it's in GMT, you can sync the time I think from the same page. Or perhaps from the remote control page you can get to off the portal's My inverter page.

If all that fails, try emailing support.

Hmm - I try to avoid using the term "GMT" - for me, it remains close to UTC all year round, but Microsoft seem to have redefined it to mean local UK time, ie UTC+1 during the summer.

I'd say the inverter should be set to BST during the summer - the fact that GE change it twice a year says that it's set to local time, not fixed to UTC (which is more typical for embedded systems).

Thank you! Found settings on web login and managed to update. Yes, in the UK but had defaulted to Amsterdam (+2).
