System set to charge battery to 100% at cheaper rate from 0030- 0430.
100% is normally achieved by approx 0300
Battery then supplies the electric AGA every 30 minutes to retain desired temperature of oven.

On random days (3-5 per month) the dashboard display shows battery at 0% from 0400- 0730 which then require a grid import at a more expensive rate to feed AGA oven top up.

I do not understand why battery indication goes to 0% after 0400 shortly after it has been charged to 100%, AND that the battery indication reverts to !00% at around 0730 with no sign of any charging.

To me the 0% from this is obviously an erroneous indication.
Is this a random fault or have I messed up my settings??
See !2 and 13th August graphs available but I do not have the skill to add them to this post.

You may want to fully discharge the battery to force a full recalibration of the battery, the SOC register sounds likes it's adrift

On the good days, how low does the battery typically get by the end of the day ?

A recent video from givenergy encourages periodic (weekly ?) running down of the battery. It's all very casual - "do it if you feel like it", "it's harmless if you don't, but..." - but the very fact that they've released it at all suggests it's at least helpful. And near the end, they're talking about providing an automation to do it for you, which says to me that it actually rather more important than they're implying.

Not sure that forces a recalibration, does it? But it probably does allow the SOC tracking to get back into sync, which might be what you meant.

Fully discharging does not kick off a calibration.
