Is anyone else having issues upgrading from 3015 to 3019?
It's failed twice and has been running for over an hour each time when it states the upgrade should only take 20mins

3019 ? Thought I was ahead getting 3017 ! Giv tried to push mine but it failed. I had to remove the wifi dongle thing and clear some files before Giv could do their bit. On 3017 now. No idea what it does as there are zero release notes.

Apologies it is 3017 and not 3019.
It's failed three times, I'll contact support

There are now...

Mine's gone from bad to worse and rebooting the inverter every 5 mins!
Anyone know of a fix or is this a call to GE support?

DD I think they all sound like fixing issues to do with multiple batteries. I normally like to keep software updated but with it having failed to install for me perhaps I'll skip this one. I only noticed it was there because I was looking for controls to benefit from tomorrow's Octopus free electricity. Otherwise I'd have been skipping it anyway.
DD Sure I couldn't find that earlier, but thanks. Not sure I understand what the release notes mean though. I'll see what my two 9.5s do with it.
I also only noticed that there was an update when looking for controls to benefit from the Octopus free energy window between 1.00 and 2.00 tomorrow however, from memory the update message was to update the inverter firmware to D0.309-A0.309 from .07. This appeared to be installing ok but then stuck at 90% when verifying files. Ater an hour I refreshed the page and it showed that the firmware version is now D0.309-A0.309 but the inverter status was sporadically showing as offline. An hour on and I have a notification that there's a battery update available - I'm reluctant to install it! My inverter is hard wired with an ethernet cable and I have a 350 Mbps connection speed

Oddly and this may have been done remotely by GE support having raised a ticket with them last night, however my battery is now showing as running firmware version 3017 from 3015. I left the firmware as pending update with the battery running 3015 as of early this AM
I've checked the logs and all entries point back to the three failed attempts last night.
Do GE just remote in and remotely fix??

Same post three times - stop wasting paper ...

Slartibartfast same issue others are having just sharing my experience, which has now been resolved as per the other posted thread
I had two attempts at installing the upgrade yesterday. The first one failed, the second attempt got to 90% verifying then stopped. The battery then appeared offline, and checking the battery found that it was dead i.e. all lights off. I was in the process of ringing Octopus (my installer) when I thought that I'd check for any power switches on the battery, which of course there is! The battery powered up ok, and the firmware was showing the correct version. It would have been nice to have been warned that the battery would effectively need a power cycle :-)

Nevans that's interesting...
Whilst I didn't reboot my battery, I cycled my batter down to the minimum of 4% for some additional SEG export, I replied to the GiveEnergy support team with the email below this AM, will see what they come back with

I received this from GivEnergy support, just in case anyone else experiences these updates failing as I did

Midlands_Solar How many times must you post the exact same info?

Apologies 🙁
Seems to be a few threads on this matter that was all
