I've had my 5Kw gen 2 inverter system for over a year and added a second 9.5Kw battery in February this year. Yesterday on the Android app I noticed the reported serial number for the primary battery has changed to four digits - five digits (e.g 1234-56789) from the DX four digits G three digits (e.g. DX1234G567). I have contacted GE technical and awaiting a reply. Has anyone else had this happen?

My battery is currently showing as 5.2kwh instead of 8.2kwh when I click on the battery tab and more information. The portal shows the correct information. Maybe my serial number has also changed? I only noticed this discrepancy today.

Well I have just looked at the android app (09:35) and my primary battery serial number is now back to the original number. No explanation from GE yet.

Mine too!

I think we spoke too soon. Battery serial changed again and incorrect capacity battery showing with corresponding reduced SOC 🙁

This has been noted before (on here I believe, just can't find it) can't remember what the solution ultimately was (a redo of the firmware would be a start)
It basically the BMS reverting to default factory settings pre serial number entry by GE.

Thanks Hoggy. GE replied to my email today and said it should be sorted soon..... didn't say how?

This morning the primary battery is reading the wrong serial number again!
GE technical have responded with it's a know issue and a fix will be forthcoming.

Just looked and now the GE android app is only showing my secondary battery.

My single 8.2kwh battery setup is showing no battery. There are also some battery BMS alarm notifications showing in the portal.....ho...hum.

Issue still not resolved by GE. This is now causing problems because the 'No Batteries Found' error means that the charge schedule doesn't work...the battery simply pauses. Anybody else had this situation before?

So still only showing the secondary battery on the app but the portal is showing the full battery capacity (2 x 9.5Kw) and system is working as expected.

Yep - same happened to me - now it’s completely disappeared from the app.

Looks like GE technical have solved the problem with the serial numbers changing and missing battery on the app (well at least for me). Has it solved it for all of you?

GE upgraded me to the latest software, but this made no difference. However, like you, my serial number and battery data appeared today, so GE must have tweaked something on their side

Yes it’s back for me as well.
