How are the "automatic" firmware updates working? I read here and there that there is, for example, a battery firmware version 3007, but mine are on 3005, The knowledge base only shows 3005.

What is the current "latest" firmware for both inverters (AC coupled) and batteries? And how do you migrate to it if not already on it now the "update software" button has gone?

It used to be the case (I think it still is) that the update button is only there if there's a newer version available than what's already installed - I think the KB is the place to look for latest versions https://kb.givenergy.cloud/category.php?id=11
Also, AFAIK firmware updates are not automatic - they require either the owner or GE support to start it (which is good in my view - I want a f/w update to only trigger a recalibration under my control, so I can avoid excess export/import, or at least schedule it to coincide with my cheap rate period)

Battery f/w 3007 may still be in beta (the mentions in the forum suggest it's coming out soon). The update button will only appear once the f/w is released, at which point I'd expect to see it in the KB list.

I'm currently on v 3007 and have been for a few weeks now, i'm sure there will be another one soon if the EV gets released.

Hmm my AC3 is on D0.534-A0.535 and battery 3005. Anyone know what 3007 is meant to do?

I guess there is different FW per equipment, I have 1040 for the Battery and D0.450-A0.451 for the hybrid Invertor?

[unknown] there is supposed to be a fix for the battery SoC drop off issue that some of us get.

For the AC inverter there is an "experimental" version designed to test a fix for SoC drop-off and/or failure to respect the discharge limit: D0.599-A0.599

JasonCartwright I have the hybrid inverter on D0.449-A0.449 and battery on 1039, but no sign of the update button since I last pressed it and it failed… However since everything seems to be working fine at the moment I probably won’t pursue an update!

But back to the original question the weekly updates have been mentioning the automatic firmware update process for a few weeks now, not seen anymore on it, so might have a look on the knowledge base.

This is what we have for our AC3 Inverter & 2x8.2kWh Batteries:
Inverter Firmware Version
D0.534-A0.534
Battery Firmware Version
1040
All seems to work OK, apart from occasionally the SOC drops from about 40% to 4% within a few seconds and it appears, when that happens, that one battery is on a lower state of charge than the other.
Waiting for proper fixes before asking for an update.

Woodlands very old firmware.
Latest released version is 3005.

Not sure why you arent seeing an update button.

TheDragon (GivEnergy) the 1040 is likely as it is an earlier battery version. I have two 8.2s which were installed over a year apart. The newest is on 3005 and the oldest was on 1040 or 1041. The only snag I have now is the software page of the inverter aggregates everything and only shows the firmware for one battery :-(

My replacement 8.2kWh battery (replaced about 4 weeks ago) is on 1036 and GE Support insisted it stay on this version for a while after install.
