The water gets too hot can the eddi work with a thermostat to divert any excess energy from heating the water?

Eddi uses your existing immersion heater element so will be turned off when that thermostst opens, then surplus will be exported.

KKT Sounds like you need to turn down the immersion thermostat switch, I needed to do this when I had the iBoost+ installed as the immersion was set a lot higher than the boiler temperature switch.

KKT yes Eddi can use a PT1000 thermostat. Best place to ask for advice is on the Myenergi forums.
