Is it possible to see the actual power in the battery rather than a %?

Peter.howell The only thing that the BMS can measure is the cell pack voltage which from the calibration it knows what the high and low (full and empty) levels are, so an estimate of % SoC can be made.

However the voltage is fairly flat across most of the charge/discharge range so hence potential inaccuracies in the SoC.

Cell voltage is available in Home Assistant (GivTCP) or Rubik’s Android App.

Thank you for the response, a bit over my head, so dor a layman the answer is no. I can estimate from the % but unwound have been good to know that all the units were functionig.

Peter.howell Correct. There is no direct way to measure stored battery power. All that is available is battery voltage from which an approximation of stored power is made.

If you look at the individual cell voltages you can spot sometimes if one of the cells is underperforming compared to the others. The Android app is good for this.

I doubt they'll ever be visible in a GivEnergy app as the average user doesn't know what kWh or Ah are.

Yeah I thought about mentioning those, but (didn’t look at the code) I suspect they are both just calculated values from the SoC %. As other wiser people have pointed out, the battery can only measure voltage, everything else is derived/guessed/dreamt up
