My app a says my inverter has been offline for 20 days...I have been away. I don't have a dongle. What do I look at to get on line...is it the inverter or my wi fi ( rest of wifi in house ok)
Thanks
Inverter offline
sarah_jane your inverter is either connected via wifi (the dongle may be inside the inverter) or via an ethernet cable.
If the inverter is reporting as offline it’s probably lost connection to the wifi. Turning the wifi router off and on again may be enough to get it to reconnect, or you’ll have to turn the inverter off and on again - follow the instructions your installer left you
I had a similar issue. In the end I had to carry out a factory reset of the router to resolve it after my installer and Givenergy tried all sorts things without success.
My dongle must be inside as no Etherley cable, switched inverter off and Internet off. No joy yet.
But thanks
If you have restarted the router as suggested by geoffreycoan and it still does not see the router. Using a pc/ipad scan for visible Wi-Fi. If the built in dongle is broadcasting you should see an ID that is very similar to your inverter ID. The first 2 characters maybe different but the rest should be the same. You need to be able to see this in order to check dongle settings and to make sure it is seeing the router.
sarah_jane You haven't changed your Broadband supplier recently, have you?
