As givenergy "not supply" battery's for its customer any one try connect DIY battery pack with to hybrid inverter. Will battery be charged and what BMS need to be used to communicate with inverter. if not DIY then maybe from different supplies. It will be no discussion if Givenergy will stand up and say what is going on with there battery. I order Giv hybrid inverter and battery as it was make sense. But after waiting months for battery start to regret my choice. I should go elsewhere. Any way. Anyone try to connect 16cels LiFePo4 battery pack make it 16s 51.2V. It will match up nominal giv battery output. But what about Communication with inverter so all information will be in app or givenergy cloud.
But please stop saying its danger etc. It is if you don't know what you are doing.

They do have an unsupported lead acid mode which I guess you could use (run off voltages rather than BMS comms for SOC)
I recall seeing someone on the FB group running lead acid Bank with one (although I also recall that the warranty on the GE inverter was null and void doing so)

I run a seperate PV string DC-DC converter into mine with some Pylontechs - no issues, but kind of defeats the purpose of the GE inverter if you don't already have a battery on it (I use it to push the battery only capability to a true 5kW as opposed the standard 2.6)
