As the title suggests I'm on 3015.
It looks like the firmware update started, but nothing has finished.
Additionally I've just given my battery a discharge (having watched EV Man describe giving it a full discharge once in a while). It got down to 9%, and would only send out 98w.
So it feels like it needs to be recalibrated.

Any thoughts where to start?
(I'm fairly busy today, so don't want to give support a ring if I can help it).

You don't say what kit you have.
Did you get any notifications to your portal?
Power everything off including pv panels, mains etc. Turn off battery isolators.
Wait 20s or so for everything to drain./discharge
Press buttery on/off button to turn battery off.
Turn it all on again and hopefully that will force a reboot of everything.
You will then be able to see where you are.
May need to get GivEnergy to email you 3017 and then do an install via the USB stick inside the battery. I found the hardest part was cutting the glue off the USB stick and getting it out

3kw AC coupled inverter.
9.5kwh battery.

I guess forcing a restart might be the easiest option.

Thats what I had to do

Both my 9.5Kw batteries failed updating to 3017 remotely so I updated them by getting GE technical to send me the file and uploading it to the USB stick inside each battery.

Ortwin what I had to do. Wonder why it failed on a number of units?

I've always had issues with getting firmware updates on my GE system. Usually it's the ARM that fails to update on the inverter.

Ortwin I had to replace my USB memory stick to get the update to work.

I just took out each battery memory stick with the batteries switched off and isolated. Then loaded the 3017 file, stuck it back in the battery and switched them on. Heard the beep and it uploaded. I had to wait a while before the portal showed the updated software version.

NSR2 Additionally I've just given my battery a discharge (having watched EV Man describe giving it a full discharge once in a while). It got down to 9%, and would only send out 98w.

The other day, I was charging up towards 100% (I usually stop around 80%) and it was charging very slowly (100-200W or so). I think it's just going slowly because it's not very confident about where 100% is, and it mustn't overshoot (since that could cause damage). So I just let it very slowly make its way to the end, and then went to 100% again next day, and it didn't have much trouble getting there at a more normal rate.

So it feels like it needs to be recalibrated.

Not sure a formal calibration is needed - all that really does is ensure it visits both ends of the charge range (though it does go further in both directions than it would in normal use).

So, depending on your tariff, if you can just leave it very slowly discharging (perhaps overnight) to let it find the bottom of the range, it will have a better idea next time.

If your overnight import is cheaper than export, then an overnight discharge followed by recharge is financally beneficial anyway.

Yeah I used loads of electricity during the day, got it down, then recharged at night a couple of times and its fine now.
Givenergy is remotely updating the firmware as we speak fingers crossed.

Yesterday I gave GiveEnergy an email.
Response within an hour, and they have remotely sorted it all out.
Battery upgraded!
