The battery decided not to stay on after we had to switch the grid power off for work on the house.

Battery just makes a clicking sound when trying to connect to the inverter and then switches itself off.

Givenergy have been really really slow at sorting this problem, since its been known to them for a month now, and no response about a fix date, and the installer is not helpful/informative- they clearly don't want to solve problems in their fitted kit, but simply get the money. We had our system installed in early feb 2022, and it worked fine for six weeks.

so at the moment the system seams a poor value for money unless its sorted soon.

is there anything that can be checked to see what the problem is?

whats a typical response time for a warranty fix from Givenergy?

First thing I would say is that the initial warranty should be with the installer - though they do effectively sub it back in most cases if its the kit and not the install - bit like Currys do. Though in my view they should be the ones doing the initial checks and not rely on GivEnergy.

But I would also check the DC breaker is closed and not tripped - and if it is check the connections.
After that it is back to the installer and do some shouting!

Is this the EPS supply that is not working?

Because the battery will not supply power to the "normal" circuit when the grid supply is off anyway.

Mine did this, was a corrupted USB stick in the battery.
Took it out and it fired straight up while I waited for another to turn up the next day.
