How long should batt firmware take as been 90mins and still no confirmation notification
Batt firmware 317
You should get a notification when it starts. I can't remember how long it takes (2 hours?)
You should get notifications at start and end if a battery calibration is required
Chris, is your system running normally and what firmware does the system show the battery is using? When I upgraded to 3017 it did not run a calibration.
I have a Gen 3 5kW inverter and 8.2kW battery and upgraded from ver 3015 to 3017 this morning. Took about 10 mins and there was no calibration.
I did mine last night and I’ve noticed that my battery seems to be only outputting 304w max back to the house, looked at the settings to see if it’s changed and it still says charge / discharge at 3000w.
Anyone seen this behaviour?
Edit: just had a play with the settings set it lower to 1500w saved that then set it back to 3000w and it seems to be behaving properly now
Shikoku14 had exactly the same behaviour. Pausing and restarting the battery through the app seemed to rectify it.
I switched off my system this morning to move our emergency socket and this afternoon noticed that the GE Cloud is saying the batteries are on 3015 and need updating to 3017. I had manually updated them to 3017 a few weeks ago as they would not update remotely. The monitor for GiveEnery inverter says both batteries are on 3017.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Turns out the GE system got a little upset when my battery serial number went awry and was reporting the wrong software version. GE technical have now sorted it out.
As I said elsewhere, my Gen 1 battery took about 20 minutes to update to 3017 from 3012. The download and installation was very quick and stopped at 90% while it ran a verification process. That possibly took the same length of time as the download and install,
No issues.
