Battery not Feeding Home

I switched from Octopus Fixed to Octopus Flux. The battery stopped feeding home and would only export part of its capacity (about 30%) halfway through the high demand period, say around 1730-1805. Despite the lower tariff my daily charges increased.

I came off Flux and back to Fixed. I am now on the higher Fix tariff for import and only get a 1730-1805 export and no home consumption.

I have done a software switch to ECO. It says Saved but I remain stuck on this limited export and no home usage. I have emailed Octopus several times and had no response.

Is there anything I can do to force my system back to supplying the home?

Just to confirm: was that standard Flux, or Intelligent Flux ? Unless it was Intelligent Flux, it's not really anything to do with Octopus.

If it was IF, can you see from the activity log on the portal (in the remote-control section) whether Octopus are still controlling your inverter through the API. There is a way to revoke their access, but I can't remember details.

Have you tried reset-defaults on the inverter?

Can you tell us a bit about your system - there are various ways they can misbehave, and modern systems have additional ways, such as pause timer.

DD, my computer needed a reboot before I could send the following text:

Sorted. The tariff had been changed but the system control had remained with
Octopus under Intelligent Flux.

It may be helpful to note that Intelligent Flux hands all control to Octopus
which then determines grid to battery top up times and battery to grid
times. The former allows for lost cost import and higher cost export.
However it also determines how much battery power to the grid.

In my case the battery did not provide any power to the home and only
limited export to the grid of up to 33%. The effect was I was paying a high
import tariff from 1600-1900 with no home battery assistance.

Had I been on Flux alone I could set the low tariff top up time and the
export time with a much larger export down to probably 20% but possibly even
4%. I shall consider switching to Flux later.

Looking at a holiday scenario with only standing consumption (fridge etc) I
might start the day with 100% battery and solar feeding directly to the
grid. At 1600 my battery could dump its power to the grid at a high tariff
and grid cover the standing consumption at the high rate. Come the following
dawn the battery once again topped up to 100% and the cycle repeats.
