Use battery instead if grid

Hi,
We had our array commissioned yesterday; I can't work out how to use battery instead of drawing from the grid. Any ideas what I need to do please?

In the App, top right is a settings icon. Tape that and you will see options Eco, Time Charge, Time Export, Battery Options and the Unf*** tab aka Reset to Defaults.

You can also find these in the Givenergy page from which you accessed this forum. On the bottom line of the home screen is a number of icons. The TV one (4th from left) opens up the My Inverter page. You will see SETTINGS. Click that and you get the same options as on the App.

I presume you are with Octopus, if you are, what Tariff are you on? If you are on Intelligent Flux (OIF) then you cannot control the battery - Octopus will determine when to export and import to the battery; the battery is not used to feed the home except during periods when Octopus decides. In my case it only ever exported to grid.

Worry not, it took me over a year to find that setting icon.
