Has anyone here any experience of running a Zappi alongside the GE AIO with Gateway and 5kW hybrid inverter?
I'm interested to know if they can work together without any problems with the battery cross-charging the car etc. I would have gone with the GE product, but it is not compatible with IOG tariff and I don't wish to be constrined to a particular car model in order to be eligible.
CW I have a zappi and hybrid inverter. Simplest thing to do is have it wired up so that the solar CT doesn't see the zappi at all.
This is how mine is wired: zappi CT clamp is top-left and sees all consumption, zappi CU is bottom right, GE is off to the left. The GE CT clamp is between the two brown blocks, and so doesn't see the load from the zappi.
DD Thanks - it sounds like they will co-exist then. I suspect my connections will all be done in the Gateway (as the whole set-up was done in the garage via a very thick 4-way cable from the main feed to the house!
I'll be interesting to see whether the charger is connected into the EV charger slot in the gateway
I have an AIO, Zappi and ac pv inverter. I agree that separating the zappi is the simplest solution. I don't think you want your AIO discharging into the EV when your grid import is 7p / kwh. The AIO capacity is a drop in a bucket compared to most EVs.
