Enjoying my nice and shiny GIV-3HY-10 with 20kWh battery and wondering how to release the battery reserve during power outage, since the internet connection will probably be out as well during that time.
Is there any documentation available on how the system settings change the behavior of the system?
Regards, Harold.

GivEnergy said the inverter/system will keep going in EPS mode using the same settings as on grid mode.
No exporting of course.

I think the OP's question is "If I set a reserve percentage of X% where X > 4% will the batteries discharge to the minimum 4% automatically during a power cut or does that require an internet connection".

As far as I recall, if you set a reserve of say 10% it won't go below that during normal operation.
However during a power cut, the reserve figure doesn't impact the EPS circuit, so the battery should continue to discharge down to 4-6% ish aka technically empty.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, i hoped that the EPS did bypass the battery reserve.
That's the scenario that TX200 confirmed.

Best thing to do is test it. Always good to plan and test. 😀

Yes, nothing works until it is tested....
