Hi,

I have been happily experimenting with HomeAssistant, GivTCP and predbat whilst I was waiting for my smart meters to be installed which happened a couple of weeks ago - and that kept me happy and out of mischief as far as monitoring grid import i.e. i have 2 devices in HA, one for the electricity meter and one for the gas meter.

Today, I noticed in my Octopus Energy account that my export tariff is now active and I have a 3rd meter for electricity export. This has a different MPAN, but the same serial number.

My question is how to I create the new device in HA? Do I simply rerun the configuration process? Or perhaps I need to uninstall and reinstall?

[edit to add]: I am currently using the URL method to obtain the export prices, but would prefer to usethe sensor data, but this data is no longer available under my import meter MPAN number

Thanks
Chris

Weasel Either re-running the Octopus Energy configuration or uninstalling the integration, rebooting HA, re-installing and re-configuring the integration shouldn’t cause any long term issues to Home Assistant.

I would imagine the former would work, but not something I have ever had to do. The integration is pretty good at detecting changes, it pulls through price changes and change of tariff automatically, may do the same when you run the configuration again.

I answered my own question - I simply reloaded the integration and the 3rd device appeared

It was a menu option at the integration level
