Have 5.2kw Solar PV, Gen 2 5KW Hybrid inverter and a 9.5kwh battery installed in May 23. minor issues with SOC drops but all ok until April 24 when Battery was playing up, Soc drops and eventually stopped completely and was jump started by installer, however it seems one of the cells was out of line. Engineers visited to confirm it wasn't an installer issue, made sure bus bars were tight. It was still functional, however Giv energy was monitoring for c. 3 weeks and they highlighted that one of the cells was out of line.
Giv Energy replaced the battery with a brand new unit in June 24, all has been ok until last week, when battery became idle, it had tripped out, but managed to reset them after not initially being able to get the trip switch to stay on. However battery on the system was showing as both a 5.2 and 2.6 battery. Did a firmware updates and have not been able to get the battery out of idle.
Given that I am only 16 months in and look to have had 2 battery failures I am concerned about the reliability of the equipment to be able to perform over 10 years. Has anyone else had similar issues?
