In the portal in the remote control setting there is a “max output power” slider for the inverter. I’m not talking about the battery power settings. The inverter. Mine is set to 100%.
I couldn’t find anyone mentioning it in a quick forum search.
I guess it does what it says on the tin but how does this play out in different modes exactly? Does it equally and proportionally reduce everything? ie battery charge rate, discharge rate, solar charge, house output, grid export etc.
Or does it just put a cap on the total maximum output?
For example hypothetically, if your max output is 5kW, and you set it to (50%) (2.5kW): would it export at 2.5kW max and be limited to charge the batteries at 2.5kW, house load at 2.5kW, etc. or would the charge/ discharge rates be be 50% of their max ie 1.75 kW charge and 2.0kW discharge?
Presumably it just reduces everything thing as inferred. But Anyone know for sure? Or got any ideas why you’d want to reduce its output like this?
Could it be useful? Although there are no timer settings for it, which could in theory make it very useful. Having said that there are controls for the battery anyway! So what’s it for?
