Scheduling 3 periods charging?

Hello - we have just installed a heat pump and Give energy inverter and battery. We are Octopus customers and considering using their "Cosy" tariff. But I have read on various forums that our GivEnergy battery can't be programmed to charge from the grid 3 times day - is this true? It seems that it is possible to do it if we use a 3rd Party App? If that is the case can anyone recommend one?
Bigger question is - why don't GivEnergy adapt their system to allow three timed charging periods within 24 hrs?

They have - modern inverters allow up to 10 charge and discharge periods. However, the app only gives access to the first - for the others, you need to go into the 'remote control' part of the portal (gears icon on top right of inverter page).
Gen-1 hybrid inverters only offer 1 charging slot. Not sure about gen-2.

(Gen-1 hybrids don't have enough memory to support additional charging slots.)
