Why is my battery NOT charging?

Today (Friday) is a nice sunny day and my PV system is generating lots of power. Yet, none is going into the battery. It used to before the APP was updated now... as I see the configuration data, there is no way to do this in the current functionality:-

  • use my cheap overnight rate to charge the battery to say 75%
  • then add any output from the PV to the battery until it gets to 100% (then by all means send it to the grid)
This is how my system worked before...
Has anyone else seen this behaviour since the app update?
Given the current APP, there is zero point in having a PV system as its' output can't be used to top up the battery if you have the charging time set for your cheap overnight rate (eg Octopus)

StephenDavies not seen this mine still works happily in eco mode plus grid charge during cheap rate. Its worth double checking the settings as I have found with the app it has a habit of caching and showing previous settings rather than the current settings

I think it's a bug. My app shows the battery at 100%, as does the portal. But the graph shows my battery at 51%. I don't think the app is showing the correct SOC since the updated.

What does it say on the portaL?

The Portal as of 13:01 (bright sun) says
Solar Generating 1.5kW, home consuming 215W, Battery 1 100% idle, Battery 2 79% discharging @4W, Export to grid 1.3kW.

@StephenDavies I have 2 batteries on one AC inverter but when looking at the portal only see a single value for the batteries i.e. its combined together. Where on the portal do you see a value for each individual battery ? (that is something I would like to see)

Sorry, my bad. I have 2 inverters and 4 batteries. I should have said inverter rather than battery.
