How to remove a timed charge

I set up some time charge periods through the portal, and now want to remove some of these, but it seems impossible to do so. The unused slots show the time as "--:-- --", but setting the existing slots to that and trying to update fails (told that the value format is not correct).
How is one supposed to remove the timed period?
