Resources needed for PredAI

I have a HA Green appliance that is running all my desired automations and still has quite a bit of headroom in terms of RAM, storage and CPU so I have been speculating what effect PredAI might have.

For me, PredAI is more about geeking out than it is about getting the most out of my investment in solar and battery technology. Therefore I would not want to overload my HA system and potentially jeopardize my existing automations.

Has anyone tried PredAI on a HA Green appliance and if so, what were the results?. I fully expect to learn that I need to invest in a more powerful HA setup and will be pleasantly surprised if my current system can cope.

Seeing that my HA Green system is only a few months old, I can't justify a NUC or similar quite yet, but I can always have a sandbox HA system to play with running under hyper V in order to get a feel for how PredAI works etc

Weasel I have been running PredAI for several months on a Raspberry pi4 4Gb.
My memory footprint is currently 1.9 Gb out of 4 Gb

My HA is installed on an attached SSD (an unused 512 Gb Samsung). I have only used 5% of this space.

On my set up, HA stores its data in databases such as home-assistant_v2.db-shm
I have three 'db2' files which add up to about 1.4 Gb in total. You can find these using File editor.

I haven't noticed any cpu hit. Predai seems to refresh itself every 30 min.

Try a web search for Home Assistant db2 or similar.

Try Predai and see how much space is used on your HA Green setup and assess any cpu hit.
Predai is easy to set up.

I do sometimes go back to using HA historical data to see if there is any real difference and which method is more accurate (but it is difficult to assess). It is easy to flip between HA and PredAI by commenting and uncommenting 3 lines in apps.yaml.
