We have just had a smart meter fitted. Since it’s installation I have noticed that when the battery is not discharging - ( Scotland no sun today!) the house use is around 80w lower than the import power. Is this normal and has my smart meter installation affected the GivEnergy AIO? Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be happening. Before the smart meter was installed I’m sure the two figures matched very well.

Yeah, as above, can you see this actually happening via either an IHD or watching the actual meter or using live app monitoring (e.g. something like the octopus home mini or similar tech).

As it's an AIO, I assume there's a gateway, so the usual putting the CT clamp back in the wrong place is probably unlikely?

Maybe a breaker has tripped in the gateway?

Or maybe they've re-wired something so the gateway is no longer connected (saw something similar somewhere on here I think).

Thank for the replies. I noticed this morning that there was an App update pending. I updated and now the house consumption and import figures match. mmmm? !!

I will check this through the day.

Apparently they reinstated the feature to fudge the numbers. The app has a setting 'show calculated load' - if you turn that off, it will show the actual measured numbers ; when it's on, it lies and shows you what you want to see. Your choice...
